			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Do you like sumo? Of course you do. Sumo gets such a bad rap in the States. It is <em>so</em> much more than just “fat people belly slapping”. Sumo wrestlers are in excellent shape. They have some amazing skills, move like lightening, and are <em>very</em> strong.</p>

<p>I should do a post about sumo sometime. For now, watch the video below. Someone went out and took this amazing video of the recent tournment.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><span class="drop_cap">L</span>earning Japanese is tough [1. Seriously. There are many listings of hardest languages for English speakers to learn, but Japanese is always near the top. According to <a  href="http://http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hardest_language">this wikipedia article</a>, the Foreign Service Institute (FSI) of the US Department of State considers it the hardest!]. Many things about the language seem pretty easy–pronunciation and vocab, for instance–but putting it all together and making something that people will understand come out of your mouth is quite the challenge.</p>

<p>Luckily, we have the internet to help us! [2. If you can avoid being distracted by facebook for five seconds] There are some great resources to help you study Japanese. [3. Like <a  href="http://readthekanji.com/">this one</a>.] And many many more to make you laugh at studying Japanese. Here are two youtube videos that are among the latter, but… there is some truth in them. If you are a student of Japanese you will probably find them at least a little funny, if not, they will probably strike you as very very strange.</p>
