The cherry blossoms have arrived for 2016 and everyone is out enjoying them.

Hanami time is here. That is, flower viewing. This group sure was enjoying their hanami.
This is the Iga River. For about 8 kms (5 miles) it is solid sakura (cherry blossoms) just as you see in the photo. No idea how many trees that is, but it has to be hundreds of them. Amazing.
Covered might be an understatement.
Some more cherry blossoms from last year to take everyone’s minds off the earthquake for a few minutes. You can see here a group of folks having hanami, or a cherry blossom viewing party. Hanami is very popular. Many businesses will even arrange for a hanami party for all employees. Usually they involve some traditional seasonal snacks and lots of sake.
