Not sure what it means… It isn’t the store name because this is on top of a Toys R Us. Maybe it was the name of the former store and Toys R Us just never got around to changing the sign.

Most people, I think, tend to stop taking photos of a sunset as soon as the sun disappears. That’s too bad, because often there is a great lightshow afterwards like the one you see below. Next time you watch a setting sun, wait about 5 – 10 minutes or so afterwards and see what happens.

It may look like a “poor” apartment, with so many clothes hung up outside, but that is standard practice in Japan. I’ve heard many reasons ranging from dryers being fire hazards and energy hogs to being hard on clothes and shortening their life, but whatever the real reason the fact is they just aren’t common so everyone hangs their laundry out. I don’t know what causes these clouds, but we get them every year around this time. Something to do with the mountains, the heat, and the humidity. Maybe. If anyone knows more than guesses, please let me know in the comments.
