A Narrow Look at Japan

Welcome to a special Internet-only exhibition, a selection of images cropped just for Pinterest.

If you’d like to see the full image for any crop below, click on it and you will find a link to the full-size version.

Pinterest is an interesting beast. Most of the time on the Internet, we want wide images. This may be changing with smart phones which are taller than wide, but I think wide images still rule the web, and they certainly rule the printed world. On Pinterest, however, tall, skinny images are the way to go. This isn’t a common crop for photography, but turns out it can be a very powerful one! For this exhibition I grabbed a collection of my most popular photos and gave them another look. Enjoy the results.

You can see all the images below, or you can go look at them on Pinterest (which might make it easier to repin any you like)

(props to Trey Ratcliff for the idea for this exhibition)
