<p>I hadn’t planned to take any photos on the trip, so all I had was my iPhone. But luckily the iPhone has become good enough to capture scenes like this pretty well! The best camera is the one with you, eh?</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Love these altocumulus clouds! That is, by the way, the limit of my knowledge. If you happen to know the exact kind of altocumulus, please share.</p>

<p>I made this up in stunning color, but decided it was a bit too similar to a few previous shots I did (<a  href="http://japandave.com/2011/11/up-in-the-sky/">here</a> and <a  href="http://japandave.com/2011/09/sky-of-cotton/">here</a>) so I fired up Silver Efex and striped the color out, using a virtual red filter to make that sky pop.</p>

<p>Silver Efex, by the way, is one of my favorite apps. I should write a quick review of it sometime. Totally recommended if you like black and white photography.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I took this as I was walking home today. Its been cloudy all day, the kind of grey sky that you can’t really see any detail in. I took my camera with me anyways, just in case something caught my eye. Luckily, as the sun started to drop, the light really started to define those clouds up there.</p>

<p>I tried processing this image with the LAB color technique shown in this video: <a  href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jlec3u0ebyM">LAB Colour</a>. It was interesting. I’ll have to explore more with this technique in the future!</p>
