As you know, JapanDave is a free photoblog. I provide a high-quality HDR photo of Japan every single day (haven’t missed a day yet!) and with few restrictions give it to you freely to do whatever you want with it. Photos can sell for a lot of money, and because of this very few photographers give more than a small sized version, usually with an ugly watermark in the middle of it, but I’m convinced it is of greater benefit to give you my stuff freely.
This isn’t going to change.
In return for giving you my photos, all I ask is that you please spread the word about this website. Tell your friends, tell your family, tell your co-workers, and so on. I make this easy for you to do. In addition to telling them in person, you can also freely send them any photo you like. Just pick the e-card link below any photo to email it to someone.
So my photos are free and will always be. However, running this website isn’t free. I put a lot of my own money into my photography, into hosting and running this website, into providing my photos to you freely. This does add up. I don’t demand your money, but if you would like to help and show your support for the services I give you, I have made a number of donation options available to you below.
