To Be In Japan In The Spring

There is nowhere I’d rather be than in Japan in the Spring.

Watching Together

carrying his mother
and leading his child by the hand…
cherry blossoms!

If you look closely you can see three different generations in the photo. They aren’t all together as in Issa’s poem, but close.

Daily Photo: To Be in Japan in the Spring

I was standing on a small foot bridge to take this photo. It seemed solid, yet every time someone walked across or even when the wind blew, it started shaking. A little annoying for trying to take a photo, but my son loved it and was trying to bounce up and down to make it move more—he was only one year and a few months at the time, so he wasn’t very successful, but he kept trying.
