The River at Sunrise

About

You can only barely see the river, but I assure you it’s there. That bridge you’re looking at gets incredibly busy later in the day and usually has cars at a standstill on it most of the day. But at 5 am, it’s nice and quiet.

You can see the sun behind the clouds in the upper left where it’s blown out a bit. This shot is from 3 different exposures (-2,0,+2), but it still wasn’t quite enough to get the sun. I should have taken another at –4 or even lower to get the entire range of light. Let this be a lesson to all you HDR photographers: Pay more attention to your histograms than I did on this shot :)
