A Moment of Silence
At 8:15 this morning 65 years ago, the atomic bomb hit Hiroshima instantly killing an estimated 120,000 and many more later from radiation sickness. Was it necessary? Maybe. Was it justified? I don’t think killing is ever justified. But let’s avoid picking sides in a conflict most of us weren’t around for and instead give a moment of silence to all the victims and pray it never happens again (to any country).
I beat the rush and posted a photo of the A-Bomb Dome last week. Go look at it.
Daily HDR Photo — Rain’s A’Coming
Today’s photo is a nice spot along the river.
About
I know rains coming in the photo because moments after taking the shot it all let loose and I got very wet. I don’t mind getting wet in the rain, but it’s a little worrying when you have an expensive camera with you. Luckily it was fine.
More Japanese condos. These things are everywhere and they all look exactly the same. You can see them in many of my other shots.
This is a good spot to see herons and other nice birds. They are always flying up and down this area.
