Daily HDR Photo — Old and Young Sunflowers
Today’s photo is some sunflowers.

I don’t know if they are really old and young, but the one on the left seems to be a bit over the hill while the ones on the right look more healthy.
The yellow really jumps out against the blue of the sky, eh?
Trivia: The florets within the sunflower’s cluster are arranged in a spiral pattern. Typically each floret is oriented toward the next by approximately the golden angle, 137.5°, producing a pattern of interconnecting spirals where the number of left spirals and the number of right spirals are successive Fibonacci number.
What’s all that mean? The Golden Ratio (or Divine Ratio as some during the Renaissance called it) 1.619. It seems to pop up everywhere in nature. Here’s a cool video about it (I’ve posted this before, but I just love it so hope you don’t mind if I post again. Maybe it’s the music):
