Today’s photo is an outdoor lunch with some geisha.
They seem to be enjoying some nice looking bento with tea.
It was a hot day in Matsuyama when I took this shot, so that businessman in a suit must have been miserable.
I taught a few businessmen once who were rich enough to throw parties with geisha often, sometimes weekly. Unfortunately, they never invited me. But I heard lots of interesting stories.
Check out those huge wigs they have on. The wigs are nearly as big as their faces. I have a friend who dressed as a geisha for a parade and she said her neck hurt for a week afterwards due to the weight of the wig. But then again, I suppose real geisha are a bit more use to the weight.
This was taken on the grounds of Matsuyama Castle, by the way.
