Daily HDR Photo — Atomic Reminder

Today’s photo is from Hiroshima, the infamous A-Bomb Dome.

Atomic Reminder

About

Regardless of how you feel about the necessity of the atomic bomb, you have to agree it was a tragic event. This building is well preserved, amazingly so considering it was at ground zero (the bomb detonated directly above it), and is a good reminder of what we should strive to avoid in the future.

The entire area is now a park and is definitely worth spending some time at. If you travel here, allow for at least a day just for exploring this area.

The bomb dropped at 8:15 on Aug 6th, by the way, just so you know.
