Daily HDR Photo — Meerkat in Japan! So tired…
Today’s photo is a very tired meerkat. Not exactly the kind of animal you might expect to see in Japan, eh?
I took this at the local zoo. It’s not an especially good zoo. It’s free and they don’t have enough funds or staff to really care for the animals, so it’s rather surprising that they have meerkats there. Talking with one of the few caretakers, I understand the meerkats are the most popular attraction.
He looks a bit tired — musta been a tough day. Actually, it was a rather hot day when I took this last summer so I’m sure I looked about the same when I sat down for a rest.
