I processed it as hdr and afterwords the colors were almost overwhelming, so I desaturated parts of it and cooled the entire thing down. As nice as this photo looks, it's no where near as impressive as the real scene was. These fall colors are amazing. I actually toned down the color in this photo. I'm guessing that by your statement on the lighting that this is true to life. If it is, I'm very impressed. The reds coming out of that center tree are spectacular. Nice photo.
