Leaves at Sunset

Leaves at Sunset

Yes, more fall leaves. Here in Okazaki we don’t have any huge places for seeing the leaves, but we do have a lot of small ones. I wanted to catch the ginkgo tree here. Colorful leaves

Higashi Park a few weeks ago when the Momiji (Japanese Maples) were just beginning to turn. I intentionally blurred the leaves a bit in photoshop so that you wouldn’t be distracted by the detail of them in this photo and would instead enjoy the color of everything mixed together.

New photo page

Small update. I added a new photo page to the blog. You should see the link on the navigation bar up there (right next to the “JapanDave” title). Right now I simply have my 30 most recent flickr images on it. You can click on each one for a larger pop-up — kind of a neat effect. I may change what photos are here later, but this seems like a good start. Let me know what you think.

edit: flickr evidently has some caching issues, as some of the photos refuse to load larger versions. Thankfully this only appears to be happening to a few.
