The iphone has hit Japan and has caused quite a fuss. Prior to release, most softbank (the cellphone carrier lucky enough to score the iPhone contract) stores had huge lines of people camped out in front of them. In some Tokyo stores this line was over 1 km long! Now it is sold out everywhere with new shipments also selling out within minutes of coming in.
This probably doesn’t surprise too many people.
